Building on Strength

The research projects at SHIAE will be built upon the areas in which CUHK has already achieved outstanding performance. Since 2012, SHIAE further extended the research scope of the Institute to include "Renewable Energy" as one of the three research areas. The followings are THREE major areas currently being undertaken by SHIAE. These areas are believed to have great potential for further technological advancement and in line with industrial development in Hong Kong. Initiation in these areas will contribute to economic development and the betterment of mankind.

• Reddot Award: Design Concept 2022
  • Professor Xu SONG's project has received the Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2022 for the concept titled "Ultra-compact heat exchanger fabricated by 3D printing”
